smartTOP Mercedes Benz SLK (R170)
This unique comfort controller can be installed by anyone with the help of the provided detailed installation manual. Installation requires little electronic skills and is done without cutting wires or soldering! The module comes with all wires and parts needed. Everything is operated with the original key remote.
The control unit was designed by german certified engineers, having years of experience in vehicle electronics. It was developed according to all European and American (CE, FCC) directives and constitutes a state-of-the-art electronic onboard control unit. Over-voltage protection, reverse polarity protection, safety shut-off and absolutely minimal standby power drain can be taken for granted.

Important compatibility notes:
Our module is
generally compatible to all SLK R170 models, but on the earliest models (before
2000) which use a One-Button IR remote there are some limitations:
- Remote control of the convertible top is NOT possible with the IR remote.
For remote operation key sequence commands like 3x LOCK or 3x UNLOCK are
required, which can not be given with a one-button remote.
- All other features like one-touch top operation while driving or one-touch
comfort close for all windows are still available.
