BMW Paddle Shift Retrofit Kit
This Kit will enable you to shift your Steptronic transmission similar to SMG with an OEM steering wheel and paddles. This Kit is German engineered and completely Plug N Play. No programming required!

Paddle Shift Add-On (Now Included Standard)
The add-on will allow you to enter or exit DS mode by pulling both SMG paddles or pushing one and pulling the other paddle on SSG paddles. Furthermore, by just pulling one paddle, you will immediately shift to the next gear entering manual mode M1, M2, etc instantaneously. Exiting the maual mode is identical to exiting DS mode. Most importantly, DS and manual mode will disengage as soon as the shift knob is moved out of D even if you use the paddles to enter DS mode and then move the gear selector to DS and back to D, DS mode will be exited.

Excellent product. Very simple to install. Despite not bringing an instructions, it is a very intuitive installation. In 45 minutes I had a car with paddles on the steering wheel. They work excellently !!!

I have a 2000 BMW 323i with a 04 330i engine swap. I always wanted the paddle shift for the smg auto trans that came stock in my car. Had purchased a basic kit two years ago that just plugged into my harness and allowed paddle shift function when I moved my shifter into sport or manual mode. This kit is way better. It allows you to select sport and manual shift mode from the paddles with the shifter in drive. And it still illuminates the shifter panel. Well worth the money and the customer support is top notch.

By FAR the best communication seller ever. I didn't get the persons name, but He pretty much made sure that he only wanted to sell me the product till I convinced him that I knew what I was Doing.

Once the product arrived, installation was easy. worked without programming. I made my own switch for the paddle shift which I had to explain to him how. He would reply very quick which I wasn't expecting so all communication was done in one day!

After the installation, my 2008 X3 drives differently due to quick transmission response. Now I can down shift without letting go of my wheel.

A hefty price to pay(due to US conversion), but worth every penny!

Best. Support. Ever! Fantastic communication and responsiveness. I had a little trouble with the kit. It turned out to be dead on arrival - nothing MotiveMods did, just a bad motherboard. The level of support trying to troubleshoot the issue was phenomenal - email, phone calls, pictures requested to 'sanity check' me and verify the install. I wish all stores were as responsive as MotiveMods.

The paddle shift kit was a easy install and came with everything required to make it work except for the steering wheel (got that on eBay). MotiveMods indicated the SSG wheel needed some circuitry modified to work, so I shipped the wheel, and they did the modifications at no charge.

The kit works exactly as described, and I am enjoying the shifting, but the real treat here was the vendor's involvement and support.

Definitely comes recommended, and I am a happy camper!
