BMW Paddle Shift Retrofit Kit
This Kit will enable you to shift with an OEM steering wheel and paddles. This Kit is German engineered and completely Plug N Play. No programming required!
What vehicles will this Kit work with?
- X5 (E70) {MY 2006-2013}
- X6 (E71, E72) {MY 2007-2014}

How does it work?
The kit will allow you to enter or exit DS mode by pulling both SMG paddles or pushing one and pulling the other paddle on SSG paddles. Furthermore, by just pulling one paddle, you will immediately shift to the next gear entering manual mode M1, M2, etc instantaneously. Exiting the manual mode is identical to exiting DS mode.

Will I lose my heated steering wheel option?
Vehicles equipped with the heated steering wheel option will unfortunately lose that functionality.

What is the difference between the steering wheels?
Sports: This steering wheel is the basic model and contains no special features. Only compatible with SSG and SMG LCI paddles.
M: This steering wheel is a little thicker than the Sports. It is only compatible with SMG paddles.
* SMG LCI paddles have to me modified by us to function with the kit. Modifying the paddles is included in the price for the paddles.

What is the difference between SMG and SSG paddles?
SMG is classified as pull only paddles, where the left paddle shifts down and the right paddle shifts up by pulling.
SSG is classified as push/pull paddles, where both paddles shift down by pushing and shift up by pulling the paddle.

The product is great and does exactly what it says. The functionality very oem and very high quality harnesses and module. The install wasn’t too hard but you need to know what you are doing because the instructions were pretty basic but over all it’s just common sense. Roger and his tech support team replied instantly and helped me when i ran into issues even at 2 in the morning. Overall worth the money.
