Installation was more difficult than expected. Unplugging the harnesses was more difficult than expected. It would have been helpful if there had been tips as to how to do this. Also, I can no longer keep my keys (Fov) in my pockets for if, by accident the FOV buttons get pressed by accident, windows start rolling down, or worse, the top start moving without you really wanting it to. It would have been much better that instead of multiple short presses there was a single long press combination to activate the features provided. This would have diminished the above problem.

Great product once installed

First, let me say that being able to open my top with my remote key fob is awesome. I thought the SmartTop was expensive, but being able to put down the top with the remote made it worth every penny. I was very worried about the prospect of taking out my back seat to install the unit, but it turns out that this was very easy to do. The unit was very hard to install because the two connecting plugs in my Infiniti, especially the top one, are extremely difficult to unplug. If you have not tried to do this, you probably think I am exaggerating this, but on my Infiniti they were almost impossible to unplug and took a tremendous amount of effort and patience to do so. My unit also most of the time will not put up the top by pressing the remote key fob as advertised. I have been meaning to call product support about this, but putting up the top with my remote is not that important to me. I highly recommend purchasing the SmartTop. Once you get it installed you will not be disappointed.

The module works awesome. I don't work on cars AT ALL and it look less than an hour from start to finish to install. The staff at Motive Mods is awesome. Always there to help fortunately I didn't need much help because it was so easy. And the people over at SmartTop are very responsive also. I had to contact them about the issue with the front windows not coming up. It is due to a command missing in the US version of the G convertible. That is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Once the update comes out for that this module will be the best upgrade / tweak you can go for the vert!
It works, but be careful
